Vishvas are a group of gods, numbering to fourteen. They are invited for propitiations in sacrifices and in rituals performed for the dead too.
In Mahaabhaaratham the five sons of five paandavas were said to be incarnations of five of these Vishvas ( Details can be seen in Maarkandeya puraanam).
