Valala was Bheema's name when he lived in Viraata city working as cook of king Viraata, during the 13 th year of the exile .
As Valala, Bheema was the superintendent of the king's kitchen . He was not only an expert cuisiner but a good fighter too naturally. He killed a wrestler Jeemootha in a competetion. And thereafter, the king arranged for his pleasure, bheema's fights with wrestlers every now and then. When a suitable wrestler was unavailable, bheema would fight with elephants, tigers and lions too.
