VAJRADATHTHA

( The D in this name is pronounced like TH in 'brother' and the two 'TH's like 'TH' in 'with'.)

Vajradaththa was the ruler of Praagjyothisham . He was son of Bhagadaththa, whom Arjuna killed in the great war, including his celebrated tusker Supratheekam.

After the war was over, Paandavas undertook a horse-sacrifice ie Ashvamedham. On that occasion, Arjuna walked behind the horse guarding it. At Praagjyothisham city, Bhagadaththa's son Vajradaththa fought with Arjuna for three days, as fiercely as his father. But, later, he was tamed by Arjuna with a thorough defeat.
