Shvetha , also called Shankha was Viraata's eldest son . Uththara and Uththara were his half brother and half-sister . He was killed in the war by Bheeshma on the first day . However , there was another son of Viraata whose name was Shankha too. The same name borne by more than one character is really a confusion to the reader . To add to the confusion , Dhrishtadyumna. Drupada's son was also alluded as Shvetha . The nomenclature duplicating everywhere amages the reader , but it is one of the complex points that made the epic what it is .
