PRABHAASA

( The SA in this name is pronounced like 'su' in 'sun'. )

Prabhaasa or Prahaasam is an ancient holy place on the western coast of south india, in present Gujaraatha stae.

This is a very famous place associated with many kings sages in ancient days.

Bathing at this place is believed to be powerful enough to cleanse all sins. This place is mentioned in Ashvamedha parva, mentioning places Arjuna and his horse passed through near the city of Dvaaraka.

"After praying to Naaraayana, Nara, Sarasvathi and Vyaasa, then one should read the Jayam."
