KRITHAVARMA

Krithavarma was a yaadava. He belongs to the Bhojaka sect among the yaadavas. He was a prominent one among their clans. He fought on the kouravas' side in the war with an akshouni of force. He was one of the seven generals of the kouravas' side. He was one of the three survivors of the war on the kouravas' side. At the end, during the night of the eighteenth day, when Ashvaththaama attacked the sleeping camp of the paandavas in their absence, he helped him along with Kripa.

After the war was over and Duryodhana died, he left for his home, Dvaaraka. But , thirty six years later, when all the yaadavas were in an excursion camp, a drunken Saathyaki jeered at him fore his mean act of attacking the sleeping enemy. He too refuted the jeering, ridiculing Saathyaki's uncermonious killing of one-handed Bhoorishravas on the fourteenth day of the war, when he was in a meditation to die, after his right hand was chopped off by Arjuna. In the resulting strife, Saathyakikilled him. In retaliation, his men attacked and killed Saathyaki. Of course, almost all the yaadavas perished in that internal fight among themselves.
