Gunakeshi was Maathali's daughter. Her story was mentioned in Udyoga parva , by Naarada to Duryodhana.
Maathali searched everywhere for a good husband to his daughter. Finally he selected a naaga youth named Sumukha as his choice and brought him to Indra. Indra gave ambrosia to him and made him non-dying. Garuda was angry with Indra for depriving him of his natural food. Vishnu cured Garuda's pride by proving him to be weak.
