"After praying to Naaraayana, Nara, Sarasvathi and Vyaasa, then one should read the Jayam."

DEDICATED TO MY DEAR NIECE VYSHNAVI KRISHNA

DHRISHTAKETHU

( The DH in the beginning of this name is pronounced like a hardened sound of 'th' in 'brother'. The RI is the special vowel and is pronounced like RI in 'KRISHNA', SH is pronounced like sh in 'SHE', T like T in 'top' and TH like th in 'with'.)

Dhrishtakethu was son of Chedi king Shishupaala. He fought on the Paandavas side. He was one of the seven generals of the side. His father Shishupaala was maternal cousin to Paandavas. Shishupaala was killed by Krishna in the context of Yudhishthira's Raajasooyam.
