Anantha is a naaga Lord. He is the son of Kashyapa and Kadru. He carries the earth on his thousand hoods. He is also the bed of Vishnu in the milk sea. Balaraama (in Mahaabhaaratham) and Lakshmana (in Raamaayanam) were his incarnations.
